Sometimes, no matter how much you love the person you’re taking care of, you don’t feel as if you have a choice. That might be because you’re the only person left who can help or it might be because you’re the only one who actually steps up. The bottom line is that if you don’t feel deep down that you have a choice, you’re going to feel a little more stressed out about the whole caregiving situation.
You and Your Family Member Aren’t Getting Along
Even the best relationships between family caregivers and their care recipients can sometimes be strained. But if you and your family member don’t have a strong history together, it might be even worse. If there is a way for you to repair the relationship with your family member, give it a try. If not, you may need to find other ways to cope with the situation.

Not having help when you need it the most is incredibly stressful. Take the time to determine what you most need in order to be a caregiver and then go about putting those bits of assistance into action. Hiring home care providers and finding out which agencies work with caregivers and their care recipients in your area. They may have different programs through which you can get what you need.
Take a long, objective look at what could be making your stress worse as a caregiver. By finding the source of the problem, you can get to at least one or more solutions that can make things easier to handle.
